Jürgen Fleer (born February 26, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player . He comes from the youth department of Arminia Bielefeld and was active at Preußen Münster , SC Herford , Borussia Mönchengladbach , SV Arminia Hannover and Hannover 96 . With Mönchengladbach he was in the final of the UEFA Cup in 1980 and in the final of the DFB Cup in 1984 , but he lost both. Jürgen Fleer completed a total of 101 Bundesliga (two goals) and 88 second division games (three goals).

Fleer played in all major positions except the goalkeeper position in the course of his professional career. At Münster and Herford, he tried his luck as a striker , was eventually retrained to midfield at Arminia Hannover and was ultimately a defender at Borussia Mönchengladbach . At Fortuna Düsseldorf and later in Hanover, he then played again in midfield, where he was used again in defense in his last season at Hanover. After the 1986/87 season Fleer had to end his active career early due to an injury.
