Jürgen Fritz (musician)

Jürgen Fritz (born March 12, 1953 in Cologne ) is a German pianist and keyboardist who played progressive rock in his group Triumvirat in the 1970s .

Career

In 1969 he founded a triumvirate with Hans Bathelt and Dick W. Frangenberg . In 1976 Fritz separated from the rest of the group and from then on only used guest musicians. Since Bathelt had the naming rights, Jürgen Fritz renamed the band "New Triumvirate".

In 1990 Fritz composed the soundtrack for the science fiction film It's Not Easy to Be a God , a German-Soviet-French co-production by Peter Fleischmann . Among other things, Fritz has also participated in Arsch huh, Zäng ussenander and Trude Herr's song Never one goes so completely composed. In the summer of 1995, he and Thomas Brück designed the Trude-Herr memorial revue on Cologne's Roncalliplatz .

Today Jürgen Fritz works as a producer and musician for various Cologne formations and worked as the musical director of the Christmas angel show by Tommy Engel . In 2008 the JFO - Juergen Fritz Orchestra project was launched.
