Dick W. Frangenberg (born Werner Frangenberg on February 24, 1948 in Bensberg ) is a German musician , music producer and music publisher .

Life

In 1966, Frangenberg graduated from the humanistic Nicolaus-Cusanus-Gymnasium in Bergisch Gladbach . From 1967 he studied mathematics and physics at the University of Cologne . At the same time he was the bass player in various music groups from Cologne and the surrounding area, including the Food Band together with Wolf Maahn and Axel Heilhecker and Dick & Alex with King Size Dick and Alex Parche .

In 1969 he was a founding member and namesake of the later internationally successful German progressive rock band Triumvirat . From 1972 to 1979 he was the husband and manager of singer Jane Palmer. In 1980 he founded the music publisher ROCKMAC MUSIC. Since then he has worked as a publisher (full GEMA member), bass player and producer. After a short interlude in the Neue Deutsche Welle (1983 RCA Records released the LP Die Monopols - Wunder Wunder Wunder in collaboration with the music producer Conny Plank ) he discovered his weakness for country music . From 1982 he was a member + motor of the Nashville Music Company .

Since 1983 the center of his publishing and artistic work has been in the former Catholic elementary school (1888–1967) in Ziegenhardt , a town in the town of Waldbröl in the Oberbergisches Kreis .
