biography

In the 1970s he performed with the Bläck Fööss , of which he was the driver. There he took over the vocal part in the hit song Linda Lou , which has since been inseparably linked with the name King Size Dick.

In the late 1970s he played in the formation Dick & Alex together with the guitarist and songwriter Alex Parche German rock songs like pigs in white vests .

stage name

In Rhenish the term "thick" is used as a nickname for a stout person. With this nickname he stepped on stage early. When asked about the name by a Welshman during his time in Wales, Ganss replied in English "" Well, Dick, great, to which his counterpart replied: "" Ah! King size! ". Ganss took this up and formed his stage name from it.
