Jürgen Höckner

Jürgen Höckner (born September 25, 1966 in Wels ) is an Upper Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and association secretary. Höckner has been a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament since 2009 . He has been the mayor of Scharten since 2015 .

Höckner attended primary school in Buchkirchen and Scharten between 1972 and 1976 and then the secondary school in Eferding until 1980 . Höckner then graduated from Eferding Commercial School between 1980 and 1981 and then an apprenticeship as a retail salesman at the Upper Austrian State Publishing House until 1984. Between 1984 and 1993, Höckner was employed as a contract employee in the Scharten municipal office, taking the civil servant advancement test in 1987, the registrar's examination in 1988 and the municipal official examination B in 1989. Höckner has been the association secretary in the Eferding district waste association since 1997 and completed his training as a waste consultant in 1994.

Höckner has been a local councilor in Scharten since 1997 and mayor of the community since 2015. From 2002 to 2009 he was district chairman of the ÖAAB. In 2002 he was elected to the ÖVP district party executive, between 2005 and 2007 he held the office of ÖVP district party representative. Höckner has been district party chairman since 2007 and was sworn in as a member of the state parliament on October 23, 2009.

Höckner is married and has a son (* 1993). He lives in rifts.
