Idrissa Sanou
Idrissa Sanou (born June 12, 1977 ) is a Burkinabe sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run .
In 2002 he became French champion in the 100 meter run. Over the same distance he won the bronze medal at the African Athletics Championships in Radès in 2002 and the silver medal at the 2004 African Athletics Championships in Brazzaville. In 2005 he won the Jeux de la Francophonie in Niamey.
Sanou took part in the Olympic Games three times . His best result was getting into the quarter-finals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In his five participations in World Athletics Championships since 2001, he came only in 2005 in Helsinki over the first qualifying round.
Idrissa Sanou is 1.83 m tall and has a competition weight of 80 kg. His older brother Olivier Sanou was successful in the high jump and the triple jump .
