Jürgen Jürgensen (politician, 1933)

Jürgen Jürgensen (born March 31, 1933 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Jürgensen passed his school leaving examination in Verden (Aller) in 1952 . Six years later (1958) he became an employee of the state tax administration and most recently worked as a tax auditor at the Rotenburg (Wümme) tax office . He was involved in various associations and associations, including the trade union ÖTV, Church Senate and regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover and in the Rotenburg (Wümme) church district. In 1964 he became a councilor in Rotenburg (Wümme) and in 1965 a member of the district council.

He was also mayor of Rotenburg (Wümme) in the years 1965–1968 and 1972–1974. In the years 1968–1972 and 1974–1976 and after 1981 he also worked there as deputy mayor. In addition, he held the office of second deputy district administrator for the Rotenburg district (1974–1976).

From June 21, 1970 to June 20, 1986, Jürgens was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (7th to 10th electoral term).

Jürgensen is married and has five children.
