Jürgen Kreyling

Jürgen Kreyling (born February 6, 1978 in Marburg ) is a German geoecologist and professor of experimental plant ecology at the University of Greifswald .

From 1998 to 2004 Kreyling studied geoecology at the University of Bayreuth with the main subjects biogeography and soil science. After receiving his doctorate in 2008 and habilitation in 2012, he became Professor of Experimental Plant Ecology in 2014 as part of a DFG Heisenberg Professorship at the University of Greifswald.

Kreyling researches the reaction of ecosystems to global change with the help of biogeographical experiments, field observations and statistical modeling.
