Jürgen Müller (geodesist)

Jürgen Müller (born March 13, 1962 ) is professor of physical geodesy at the Institute for Earth Surveying at the University of Hanover and editor of the journal for surveying . He received his doctorate from the Technical University of Munich in 1991 and completed his habilitation in 2001 at the Technical University of Munich. Until 2001 he was an academic senior counselor at the Institute for Astronomical and Physical Geodesy at the Technical University of Munich.

His current research topics are Earth's rotation and reference systems, gravimetry and satellite geodesy as well as the ESA gravity field missions GRACE and GOCE . He is also involved in the QUEST (Center for Quantum Engineering and Space-Time Research) cluster of excellence .

Jürgen Müller is married and has two children.
