Jürgen Schwericke

Jürgen Schwericke (* thirtieth July 1931 in Berlin , † 25. August 2017 ) was a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

Jürgen Schwericke attended the Victoria-Gymnasium in Potsdam and the Arndt-Gymnasium in Berlin-Dahlem. In 1950 he graduated from high school. From 1950 to 1955 he studied law and journalism in Berlin, Freiburg and Cologne and completed an exchange course in Columbia / USA. In 1955 he passed the first state examination in law. In 1957 he received his doctorate. jur. and passed the second state examination in law in 1959. From 1959 to 1960 Schwericke was an assessor at the Senator for Interior in Berlin. He had been with Bayer AG since 1960 , until May 1994 as chief lawyer of the company. He then became a managing partner of Pan Consult GmbH in Leverkusen.

Jürgen Schwericke became a member of the FDP in 1969, which he left in 1975 to join the CDU, from which he resigned in 2010. From 1975 to 1990 he was a member of the CDU parliamentary group of the Leverkusen City Council; here as a member of the city's finance and tax committee. His other offices: Chairman of the Police Advisory Board and member of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Leverkusen. From 1977 to 1983 Schwericke was a member of the board of the Leverkusen district association of the CDU and chairman of the economic association of the CDU NW. From 1974 to 1984 he was President of the Bayer 04 Leverkusen sports association. He ran in the state electoral district 38 Solingen I.

Jürgen Schwericke was a member of the 11th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from May 31, 1990 to May 31, 1995 , into which he entered via the state list.
