Jürgen Treber

Jürgen Treber (* 1960 in Rüsselsheim ) is a German lawyer and has been a judge at the Federal Labor Court since August 1, 2008 .

Career

Treber studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . There he was in 1995 with the investigation "produktionsbehindernde active measures: Admissibility of factory occupations and blockades operation taking into account the functional context of private autonomy, collective bargaining and industrial action" Dr. iur. PhD. After passing the second state examination in law, Treber joined the higher judicial service of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1999 , where he worked as a judge at the labor courts in Ludwigshafen and Mainz . In 2002 and 2003, Treber was seconded to the Federal Labor Court as a research assistant , and in 2007 to the Ministry of Justice of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2007 he also worked for the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate. In September 2007, he was promoted to permanent deputy of a director at the Mainz Labor Court. On May 26, 2008, Treber was appointed judge at the Federal Labor Court with effect from August 1, 2008. In April 2018, the University of Trier awarded him an honorary professorship. On October 1, 2018, Treber was appointed presiding judge of the 4th Senate at the Federal Labor Court with effect from October 1, 2018.
