Jānis Vītoliņš

Jānis Vītoliņš (born April 8, 1886 in Litene near Gulbene , † May 14, 1955 in Riga ) was a Latvian composer.

Vītoliņš studied at the Moscow and Riga Conservatoires, where he then worked as a bassoon teacher. He composed two operas, two symphonies, two Latvian rhapsodies , dances and songs.
