JG Fletts Bookstore / Royal Alfred Lodge is a historic building on 19 Itchen Street in the Victorian city ​​center of the New Zealand city of Oamaru in the Otago region .

It was built in 1873 as a bookstore based on designs by architects Forrester & Lemon in the historic city center of Oamarus. The structure, made of Oamaru Stone , later served as the lodge house of the Alfred Lodge of the Independent Order of Oddfellows , a Friendly Society .

On September 25, 1986, the building was classified as a Category 2 Monument (Historic Place Category II) by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust under number 4628 .

The monument is part of the also protected Harbor / Tyne Street Historic Area .
