The stage and book publisher of Russian authors J. Ladyschnikow was a literary book publisher in Berlin .

history

Between 1906 and 1929 the publisher published around 153 books with a focus on Eastern European authors such as Tolstoy , Gorki , Chekhov , Shalom Asch and others. Germans - like the art historian Richard Muther - also had their say.

For example, in 1906 two works by Leonid Andrejew ( Zu den Sternen. Drama and Der Gouverneur. Novelle ) were published and in 1907 Gorky's documentary story Der 9 January was published in German.
