JADE (literature database)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

JADE , an acronym for Journal Articles Database , is a database introduced in 1995 for articles from a total of 15,000 specialist journals from the libraries of universities in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is available for university members.

It was connected to the interlibrary loan ordering system JASON, short for Journal Articles Sent On Demand , which was partly replaced by DigiBib in 2004, and the ordering system Subito . Delivery is usually made in TIF format by email.

The JADE attachment database is no longer updated, but can still be searched. The successor is the Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE) database .
