Zenkoku Nōgyō Kyōdō Kumiai Rengōkai ( Japanese 全国 農業 協同 組合 連 合 会 , English National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations ), short JA Zennō ( JA 全 農 , proper spelling : ZEN-NOH ), is the national umbrella organization of agricultural cooperative associations in Japan .

It was created on 30 March 1972 by merging the "National Distribution Union of Agricultural Cooperatives" ( 全国販売農業協同組合連合会, Zenkoku Hanbal Nōgyō Kyodo Kumiai Rengokai short 全販連 , Zenhanren ) with the "National Shopping Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives" ( 全国購買 農業 協同 組合 連 合 会 , Zenkoku Kōbai Nōgyō Kyōdō Kumiai Rengōkai , short: 全 購 連 , Zenkōren ). The head office is located in Chiyoda , Tokyo . The Zennō are members of more than 1000 cooperatives and secondary organizations (as of August 2013), which in 2004 achieved a turnover of the equivalent of 53.8 billion US dollars. The market capitalization in August 2013 was around 115 billion yen . Zennō employs around 8,400 people (as of August 2013).

Her tasks include the promotion of the members' products at home and abroad, including the development of new markets, support with transport, processing and storage, the management of sales markets, agricultural construction, advanced training and innovation, quality assurance and the organization of traceability in the processing chain from the end product to the original suppliers and producers as well as cooperation with agricultural cooperatives abroad. Another important task is the procurement of production resources by wholesalers. Zennō is one of the world's largest importers of fertilizers and animal feed. Around 70% of the Japanese artificial fertilizer imports are processed through Zennō. Zennō also plays an important role in Japan in the procurement of agricultural implements and machines, especially tractors. In 2006, Zennō declared that he did not want to participate in the research and development of genetically modified foods.
