JEMS Architekci is a Polish architecture firm from Warsaw .

history

The architectural association was founded in 1988 by Olgierd Jagiełło, Maciej Miłobędzki, Jerzy Szczepanik-Dzikowski and Wojciech Zych. In the following years the studio grew to include more partners: Marcin Sadowski, Marek Moskal, Paweł Majkusiak and Andrzej Sidorowicz. The office employs around 70 people; it is located at 28A Jurija Gagarina Street in Warsaw.

Important projects of the studio are the Gazeta Wyborcza ( Agora ) office building in Warsaw (2002), the redesign of Hoover Square on Warsaw's Krakowskie Przedmieście (2012), the building of the Polish Embassy in Berlin (2012), the Pixel office complex ( seat of Allegro ) in Poznan (2013), the extension of the Raczyński library in Poznań (2014), the Hali koszyki in Warsaw (2016) and the district Brovary Warszawskie in Wola (under construction). In 2015 the studio was awarded the annual prize of the Stowarzyszenie Architektów Polskich SARP ( Nagroda Roku SARP ) for the design of the International Conference Center in Katowice.
