In 1934, all architects organized in Poland in architectural associations were united in the Stowarzyszenie Architektów Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej , in short: SARP (German: Association of Architects of the Republic of Poland ). After the Second World War , the association was reactivated and in 1952 changed its name to Stowarzyszenie Architektów Polskich (German: Association of Polish Architects ) to take account of the naming of Poland as a People's Republic . However, the abbreviation SARP was retained. The association's president has been Mariusz Ścisło since 2012.
