Jair Zaban

Jair Zaban ( Hebrew יאיר צבן, Born August 23, 1930 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli politician and socialist. He was politically active for 45 years and was a member of the historical HaMiflaga HaKomunistit HaJisraelit (Maki) from 1965 to 1973 and its chairman from 1972 to 1973.

From 1981 to 1996 he was a member of the Knesset , first for HaMa'arach , and then for Mapam and Meretz .

From 1992 to 1996 he was also Minister for the Reception of Immigrants.
