Jacinta Paula Bernardo (born October 30 ) is an East Timorese civil servant and human rights activist.

Career

Bernardo went to school in Dili . She then studied at the University of Salford , where she received a Master of Science (Human Resource Management and Development), at the University of ASMI Santa Maria (Human Resources Management / Personnel Administration, General) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and at Monash University , where she received a Bachelor of Business and Commerce.

From December 1999 to 2001 Bernardo worked in Dili for Oxfam , until 2003 for the International Organization for Migration and until 2005 for the Australian Embassy in Dili as Office Manager. From 2010 to 2012 he was employed by the World Bank in Dili as an operations analyst.

On May 29, 2015 Bernardo was appointed Commissioner of the Comissão da Função Pública (CFP, German  Commission of the Public Service ). In parallel, she became Director of Corporate Service at Timor Gap EP in May 2012 and has been on the Board of Director of Timor Gap Offshore Block since January 2016. The Timor Gap EP is East Timor's national oil company. Bernado's tenure with the CFP ended on May 28, 2020.
