Jack Bruno
Jack Bruno (born April 17, 1951 in London ) is a British drummer .
Jack Bruno can be heard on all Tina Turner albums. He also worked with Elton John , Cher , LeAnn Rimes and John Miles . Since 1993 he has been a member of Joe Cocker's backing band .
Bruno is considered the drummer who has so far played in front of the largest number of spectators. Together with Tina Turner, in whose band he has played since 1981, and Joe Cocker (since 1992) and Elton John (from 1998 to 1999), he played in front of a total of 92 million people. Tina Turner's “Rock In Rio” show in 1988 had 190,000 fans, and in 1994, Bruno played in front of almost 300,000 people at Joe Cocker's Woodstock appearance.
In 2008/2009 Jack Bruno will be on tour again with Tina Turner, on March 20, 2009 he recorded the new live CD with her in Arnhem. "He's with me longer than anyone else. And he understands me well, with him I can be sure that he will implement my spontaneous ideas during the shows," said Tina Turner to "The Bee" in 2008 at the start of the tour. Jack Bruno expressed himself respectfully about Turner in Sticks Magazin (05/2007): "Sometimes she turns to me during rehearsals and says 'Play it more like this ... hebbedihebbedi hebbedi' and whirls her arms around. She at the age of 70 I still know exactly what kind of statement Rock´n´Roll has to offer. "
