Jack O'Brian
Jack O'Brian (actually John Dennis Patrick O'Brian ; born August 16, 1914 in Buffalo , New York, † November 5, 2000 in Manhattan ) was an American journalist .
He worked for the New York Journal American as a television critic and was a supporter of Joseph McCarthy .
So he started a series of attacks on Don Hollenbeck via CBS News . The question of whether O'Brian possibly drove the television reporter Hollenbeck (who died by suicide ) to his death with this was taken up in the 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck .
