Iffig Valley

The Iffig Valley is a valley above the Lenk in the canton of Bern .

Actually it is an extension of the Simmental, the valley is at an altitude of 1100 to 2430 m. The valley extends from Lenk in a south-southwest direction. The valley lies on the municipal grounds of the Lenk and Lauenen .

The famous Iffig Falls and the Iffigenalp (1584 m) are located in the Iffig Valley . There is a restaurant and overnight accommodation on Iffigenalp. From the Iffigenalp you can reach the Valais over the Rawilpass (2425 m) . Further back in the valley you get to the Iffigsee , which is at 2065 m. From there you can climb to the Wildhornhütte or descend over the Tungelpass (2084 m) and Stübleni (2109 m) to the Lauenensee .
