Jackson syndrome (cranial nerve syndrome)
The Jackson syndrome , English Vagal-accessory hypoglossal syndrome is a very rare condition in Neurology , a cranial nerve syndrome with a combination of lesions of the vagus nerve , the accessory nerve and hypoglossal nerve .
The name refers to the author of the first description from 1864 by the English neurologist John Hughlings Jackson (1835-1911).
The syndrome should not be confused with Jackson's syndrome of the same name (brain stem syndrome) .
