Jacob Bellens (* 1979 in Nakskov ) is a Danish singer-songwriter .
Bellens grew up in Sneslev . At the age of 13 he started writing his own songs. In 2004 he released his first album with the project Livstrompet, which mainly worked with electronic samples. As a member of the pop duo Murder, he was involved in another three albums between 2006 and 2010. He is also the singer and songwriter of the rock band I Got You On Tape, with whom he has released four albums to date.
In 2011 Bellens won the Steppeulven Critics' Prize as "Singer of the Year" and the prestigious P3Gold Prize of the Danish national radio. His first solo album, The Daisy Age , was released in November 2012 . The album My Convictions, produced by Frederik Thaae, was released on his own record label A Spot in The Sun in September 2014 . His first international album, Polyester Skin, followed in February 2016 . It was created in close cooperation with the Danish producer and DJ Kasper Bjørke .
