Jacob David Mögling (born May 16, 1680 in Tübingen ; † November 19, 1729 there) was a lawyer and professor of law at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Jacob David Mögling was licensed in Tübingen. He went on a study trip through Europe. In 1705 he was appointed associate professor and received his doctorate. He was ducal counselor and assessor to the Supreme Court. In 1717 he was rector of the University of Tübingen.

His portrait, painted in oil, hangs in the professors' gallery in Tübingen .

family

Jacob David Mögling came from a family of scholars. His father was Johann David Mögling and Michael Graß was his father-in-law. His brother was Johannes Friedrich Moegling and his son was Jacob Friedrich Moegling .
