Jacob Essich ( Latinized Jacobus Essichius ; * February 9, 1657 in Vaihingen an der Enz ; † August 6, 1705 ) was secretary and notary at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Jacob Essich had studied philosophy and possibly law . He was a council at the University of Tübingen. From 1692 to 1705 he was university secretary and university notary at the University of Tübingen. He was the father of Jacob David Essich .

His portrait, painted in oil in 1694, hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .
