Jacob Fabritius
Jacob Fabritius (Schmidt) (* 1551 ; † April 1, 1629 in Danzig ) was a German theologian. From 1580 to 1629 he was rector at the Academic Gymnasium Danzig and made it the center of the Reformed denomination.
Life
Fabritius studied theology at several universities and received his doctorate in Basel under Johann Jakob Grynaeus in 1576. As rector of the Danzig grammar school, he was both pastor of the Trinity Church and the head of the Calvinists in the dispute with the Lutherans in Danzig.
