Jacob Herzfeld (chemist)

Jacob Herzfeld (born June 17, 1859 in Mülheim (Cologne) , † after 1900 ) was a German chemist.

Herzfeld studied at the Technical University of Charlottenburg and at the Berlin University and received his doctorate from the latter in 1886.

In 1885 he became a teacher for dyeing at the higher weaving school in Mühlheim am Rhein and in 1892 rector there. Herzfeld wrote several publications on the dyeing technology of fabrics and yarns and was a co-founder of the Färber-Zeitung. Magazine for dyeing, fabric printing and total ink consumption .
