Jacobus Vrel
Jacobus Vrel (active around 1654–1662) was probably a Dutch, Flemish or Westphalian painter of interiors and street scenes.
Probably of Flemish or Westphalian origin, he mainly worked in Holland. His pictures are characterized by subtle colors and exude a modest restraint and silence. Many of his pictures used to be considered the work of Jan Vermeer van Delft, Pieter de Hooch , Pieter Janssens or Isaac Koedijck . Pictures by Jacobus Vrel are very rare.
