Jacopo Fo (born March 31, 1955 in Rome ) is an Italian writer , actor , caricaturist and director .

He is the son of Franca Rame and Dario Fo .

Career

In 1973, at the age of eighteen, he began publishing articles and comics for underground magazines and was one of the founders of the satirical weekly Il Male . His drawings and texts are published in Il Male , Il Fatto Quotidiano , Linus , L'Espresso , Zut , Tango , Cuore , Boxer , Re Nudo , King and in Corriere della Sera .

In 1981 he started the project of the Libera Università di Alcatraz (German Free University Alcatraz), not far from Gubbio in Umbria , to spread the culture of peace, art and ecology. He writes a personal blog. In 1997 he published The Encyclopedia of the sublime sex in 12 volumes in lecture notes .

After years of activity in the underground scene, he made his theatrical debut in 1997 with Lo zen e l'arte di far l'amore (Zen and the art of love-making), which was broadcast on the public television channel Rai 2 . In the same year he began to write the text Rabelais with Paolo Rossi , which was broadcast on Rai 2 after a two-year tour.

For the publishing house Guanda he published La corretta manutenzione del maschio (2009) (The correct care of the male (2009)) and Superman si è scatenato (Superman was unleashed) (2017).
