Jacques Delacote

Jacques Delacôte (born August 16, 1942 ) is a French conductor.

Life

Delacôte studied at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Déclamation and the Vienna Music Academy . In 1971 he was the winner of the Dimitri Mitropoulos International Music Competition in New York. He also worked as an assistant to Leonard Bernstein and Darius Milhaud .

Delacôte has conducted many major orchestras in the world, including the Cleveland Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic , the London Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra , the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic.
