Jacques Yver
Jacques Yver (* 1520 in Niort ; † 1572 ibid) was a French narrator.
life and work
Yver, who had studied law and was mayor of Niort in 1556, was inspired by the collection of novels by Matteo Bandello , who died in Agen , to create his work Le printemps (1572), which was particularly popular because of its realistic style, which was rich in images, had numerous editions and was in turn a role model was made for L'Eté (1583) by Bénigne Poissenot .
