The Jacquinot Rocks are a group of sea-washed reef rocks off the northwest coast of the Trinity Peninsula at the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are halfway between Hombron Rocks and Cape Ducorps .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped and named the rocks in 1946. It was named after Honoré Jacquinot (1815–1887), surgeon of the research vessel Zélée in the Third French Antarctic Expedition (1837–1840) under the direction of Jules Dumont d'Urville , who did this Had explored stretch of coast in 1838.
