history
The oldest ruins in Jadranovo are near Lokvišće, which can be dated to an age of around 8,500 - 6,000 years, i.e. the Stone Age. From around the seventh century AD, Jadranovo and all of Croatia were settled by the South Slavic-speaking peoples.
Amphorae were also found on the bank of Lokvišće , which could mean that it was once used as a trading port by the Liburnians for wine, olive oil, etc. The fact that Lokvišće was a harbor can already be seen from the steps under the water, which were probably struck to allow the boats to enter.
Jadranovo was mentioned for the first time as Sveti Jakov (Saint Jacob) on a map by Iacoppa de Giroldisa from 1426.
Infrastructure
There are two supermarkets and several restaurants in Jadranovo, most of which are only open during the tourist season.
