A hunting opportunity is the possibility in a district as a hunter , the hunting exercise.

General

As a hunter you don't have the right to hunt anywhere. He needs a hunting ground . In the case of private hunts, these are areas with a rounded area of at least 75  ha . Smaller areas of the landowners in a community form a common hunting district as hunting companions . The hunting rights in this district are usually leased by the hunting association to a hunting tenant for a legally stipulated lease period .

Hunting permit

In general, hunters without their own hunting ground have the option of applying for a hunting permit at the Lower Forest Authority, as the authorities can award kills for a fee to fulfill the shooting plan on areas that they manage for hunting , or with a private hunting tenant to get a hunting permit. The number and remuneration are regulated by state law in accordance with Section 11, Paragraph 1, Clause 3 of the Federal Hunting Act; the hunting laws usually set a maximum limit for hunting permits. In many hunting grounds, however, there are free hunting permits, the number of which is unlimited. The prerequisite is always that the hunter has a valid hunting license that entitles him to hunt .

The hunting permit (outdated designation: inspection certificate) allows the hunter to hunt independently in an area without being accompanied by the hunting tenant. The period of validity can be set arbitrarily and the game species to be hunted can be set in number, gender or age. The spectrum ranges from individual killings, participation in company hunts and long-term agreements to stalking areas . A stalking area is a special form: The area owner makes a fixed part of the area available to the guest, which he hunts according to the agreements.

If the landlord does not hunt together with the guest, they must always have a hunting permit with them. For this reason, invitations are sent for company hunts, which also serve as legal legitimation for the participants.
