Jakob Fickler

Jakob Fickler (born September 1, 1909 in Sontheim , † December 10, 1980 in Lautrach ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Fickler attended high business school, took a private degree in economics, and attended agricultural, commercial, and civic courses. After internships in various companies, he passed the master's examination in the miller's trade and the second master's examination as a sawmill and industrial master. In 1936 he took over a milling and agricultural business in Illermühle -Lautrach, and in 1950 he founded a woodworking plant in Illerbeuren. He was head master of the Memmingen Milling Guild, 1st Chairman of the Association of the Bavarian Sawing and Woodworking Industry, Advisory Board of the Allgäu Herd Book Society and the Dairy Association in Allgäu, Deputy Chairman of the Cattle Insemination Cooperative in Memmingen, and co-founder and chairman of various corporations and organizations.

Fickler was a councilor and 2nd mayor of Lautrach, a member of the district council and from 1956 deputy district administrator of the Memmingen district . From 1954 to 1974 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , apart from 1970 he always won the direct mandate in the district of Memmingen-Stadt und Land .

Fickler was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on December 7, 1964 .
