Jakob ben Abba Mari Anatoli
Jakob ben Abba Mari Anatoli († 1256 ) was a doctor from Provence who was active in the 13th century and who practiced philosophy . Under Frederick II he worked in Naples as a translator from Arabic . As an avid Maimonides follower, he wrote philosophical-allegorizing homilies on the Pentateuch ( malmad ha-talmidim ). His most important works include translations of texts by Averroes .
