Jamal Abu Samhadana

Jamal Abu Samhadana ( Arabic جمال أبو سمهدانة, DMG Ǧamāl Abū Samhadāna , born February 8, 1963 in the refugee camp al-Maghazi ( Rafah ); † June 8, 2006 in Rafah) was the founder of the Palestinian People's Resistance Committee .

Samhadana was a member of Fatah and Tanzim before founding the new organization in late 2000. In April 2006, Said Siam , Interior Minister of the Palestinian Authority government , made him director of police.

According to the Jedi'ot Acharonot report , Samhadana survived four attacks before he was killed on June 8, 2006 by the Israeli army along with three other members of the People's Resistance Committee in a targeted air strike on a training camp near Rafah.
