The Jaman North District is a district in Ghana . It is located in the center of Ghana in the Bono region and borders the Jaman South , Berekum , Tain and Banda districts in the Bono region. It also borders on the neighboring state of Ivory Coast . Chief Executive is Elisabeth Oba .

It was not until the presidential decree of President John Agyekum Kufuor dated November 12, 2003 that the Jaman North District and the Jaman South District were formed at the beginning of 2004 by splitting up the former Jaman District.

Constituencies

In the Jaman district there is only one constituency of the same name, in which Alexander Asum-Ahensah won the seat in the Ghanaian parliament for the National Democratic Party (NDC) in the general elections in 2004.
