Jamba is an early ripening, medium-sized to large, round cultivated apple ( Malus domestica ). It can be picked from mid-August to September and then eaten immediately and into October. The apple variety can only be stored for a limited period (about a month).
description
The skin is smooth, somewhat waxy, yellow-green, on the sunny side to bright red. The meat is medium firm, green-whitish, juicy and tastes sour. Lenticels are present.
The tree grows strongly in the beginning, so that pruning measures are absolutely necessary in order to get sufficient branches. He prefers mild, sunny locations.
Jamba was brought out in 1954 by the fruit growing research institute Jork in the old country .
