James & Bobby Purify were an American rhythm and blues duo.

Band history

The group was founded in 1965 by James Purifiy (born May 12, 1944 in Pensacola ) and Robert Lee Dickey (born August 2, 1939 in Tallahassee ). The duo released the song I'm your puppet, written by Spooner Oldham , in 1966 . They reached number 6 in the US charts in 1966 and number 12 in the UK charts in 1976.
