James Bruce Joseph Sievers
James Bruce Joseph Sievers (born April 8, 1948 in Los Angeles ) is an American poet.
The former elite Green Berets soldier began to write poetry in the 1970s during a multi-year hitchhiking tour of the United States.
From 2000 to 2001 Sievers was the official poet laureate of the USA .
