James Denny (born September 20, 1993 in Leeds ) is a British water diver . He competes for the City of Leeds Diving Club in art, tower and 10 m synchronized diving .

Career

Denny started diving in his hometown of Leeds in 2005. In 2011 he took part in an international competition for the first time. At the European Youth Championships in Belgrade , he took 6th place in the 10-meter tower diving and 4th place in the 1-meter jumping technique. Since 2010 he has also participated in the British Championships, where he won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. His biggest national success so far was winning the British 3-meter jumping championship in 2014 in Sheffield . Since 2014 he has been the dubbing partner of Tom Daley , with whom he celebrated his greatest success at the Commonwealth Games after only 7 days of joint training and won a silver medal. At the European Championships they reached 4th place.
