James Nguyen
James Nguyen (born September 1, 1966 in Da Nang , Vietnam ) is a Vietnamese - American film director and producer.
Life
Nguyen graduated from San Francisco State University and San José State University with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and computer science. In 2002 he began producing low budget films for which he also writes the scripts and acts as a director and actor. To this end, he founded the production company Moviehead . He became known to a wider audience through the film Birdemic: Shock and Terror , which was considered one of the worst films of all time by critics and viewers and which became an unexpected box-office success. In 2012 he shot the sequel Birdemic 2: The Resurrection , again with the protagonists Whitney Moore and Alan Bagh from Birdemic: Shock and Terror .
Trivia
Nguyen's favorite directors are Alfred Hitchcock and Billy Wilder .
