James Oram (born June 17, 1993 in Palmerston North ) is a New Zealand cyclist .

Career

James Oram finished fourth overall in the Tour de l'Abitibi junior stage race in Canada . The following year won the race. In the 2011 World Championship in Denmark Copenhagen Oram won silver in the time trial of the juniors.

In 2012 he joined Bontrager Livestrong Team . In 2013 he became New Zealand champion in the U23 individual time trial. He repeated this success in 2015. In 2014 and 2015 he won one stage of the New Zealand Cycle Classic . In 2015 there was also a stage win at the Portuguese Volta ao Alentejo . Oram won the junior competition there at the same time.

In 2016 he switched to ONE Pro Cycling . Oram won a stage at the Kreiz Breizh Elites 2017 in France . At the Commonwealth Games 2018 he finished fifth in the individual time trial. In 2019 he won the mountain classification of the Tour de Korea .
