James Warring

James Warring (born November 26, 1958 in Miami , Florida USA ) is a retired American boxer , kickboxer and MMA fighter . In boxing, he became World Champion of the IBF in the cruiserweight division .

He won his comeback fight against Jesse Torres with a classic knockout in round 1 and already suffered his first bankruptcy in his second fight. In 1990 he beat Nate Miller (18-1) by unanimous decision and was thereby North American champion .

The following year he won the vacant IBF world championship belt when he knocked out James Pritchard (27-5). He was then able to defend this title against Donnell Wingfield (21-3) and Johnny Nelson (21-5-).
