James Wilson McKay

James Wilson McKay ( 1912 - May 25, 1992 ) was Mayor of Edinburgh and a Scottish Freemason .

Life

In 1969 McKay replaced Herbert Archbold Brechin as Lord Provost of Edinburgh and held this office until 1972. Jack Kane was his successor . In 1979 he replaced Robert Wolrige Gordon as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and held this office until 1983. In 1983 McKay was succeeded as Grand Master by JM Marcus Humphrey.
