history

The company was originally founded in 2003 as Fresh Partners Limited . In 2007 the company was renamed Jamie's Italy Limited . Jamie's Italian filed for bankruptcy on May 21, 2019, and the business consultancy KPMG will manage the bankruptcy. Jamie's Italian recently had almost 1,300 employees in 25 Jamie's Italian branches and the steakhouse branches “Barbecoa” and “Jamie Oliver's Diner”.

After several cases of food poisoning, checks at several branches of the Jamie's Italian restaurant chain in 2011 revealed elevated E. coli levels and found spoiled food and dirty kitchen appliances.
