Jamie O'Hara (musician)

James Paul "Jamie" O'Hara (born August 8, 1950 in Toledo , Ohio ) is an American country singer and songwriter.

After a sports injury, Jamie O'Hara had to give up a career as a football player and began studying music. At first he had success as a songwriter. In 1986 he received the Grammy "Best Country Song" for his composition Grandpa (Tell Me About The Good Old Days) .

He worked a lot with Kieran Kane and formed the duo The O'Kanes with him . Three albums were produced: 1987 The O'Kanes , 1988 Tired Of Running and 1989 Imagine That .

After separating from Kane, he played the album Rise Above It in 1994 , which was equal in quality and style to the O'Kanes productions.

O'Hara continued to be successful as a songwriter. George Jones recorded his Cold Hard Truth . In 2002 his second album, Beautiful Obsession, was released .
